From 1987 to 1994, Graham Tew served as Executive Assistant for Legislative Affairs to Governor Carroll Campbell. Mr. Tew was responsible for organizing and implementing the Governor's legislative agenda and coordinating more than 3,000 gubernatorial appointees. J. Graham Tew guided legislation through the General Assembly that brought about economic development, education reform, tax cuts and most significantly, vast restructuring of state government in South Carolina. In 1994, Mr. Tew joined the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism as Director of Special Projects and Governmental Affairs. With tourism being one of South Carolina's leading industries, government policies and laws affecting it can have a tremendous economic impact on the State. Mr. Tew's efforts as liaison to the Governor and the General Assembly were considered crucial to this most important industry. In 1995, the law firm of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak, and Stewart sought his talents in government affairs. He became President of Governmental Affairs for the firm. Responsible for all governmental affairs and lobbying activities for the firm's clients, Tew successfully represented clients in a broad array of public and private issues. Mr. Tew joined J. Warren Tompkins, Inc. in 1996 providing additional
talent to the firm's extensive experience in the fields of politics and
